Pediatric Dentistry:  

Every baby should have their first dental visit by their first birthday.  Enjoying a lifetime of healthy teeth begins with a team approach that includes mother, father, dentist, and child.  New Leaf Family Dental is proud to provide our patients children with the same dental care that we show them.  Child cleanings, fluoride treatments, fillings, baby-tooth extractions, and, if appropriate, more advanced care, will be provided to our little patients in a fun and gentle manner.  Every little one’s case is different and, if the case necessitates it, Dr. Bemis only refers to the most capable Pediatric Dentists in the area.

Tooth Whitening:

While not imperative to dental health, whiter teeth can revitalize a patients’ outlook and outward sociability.  Done appropriately, New Leaf Family Dental will provide their patient’s with take home bleaching trays and a commercial strength bleaching agent that will noticeably whiten teeth in two weeks or less.  A simple impression is all that is needed to accomplish this goal and Dr. Bemis and his staff take pride in the before and after pictures of our many cases.

Mouth Guards for Sports and Tooth Grinding:

TMD, colloquially known as “TMJ” and officially known as Tempro-Mandibular joint Disorder (TMD) is a painful and chronic abnormality that affects many patients.  Having suffered from it personally, Dr. Bemis understands his patients concerns and complaints regarding this disorder.  He consistently reviews, monitors, and analyzes the scientific literature that, while incomplete, has a promising future.  Through the use of analgesics and oral appliances many cases of TMD can be successfully treated and Dr. Bemis works individually with these cases to sculpture the correct treatment for each patient.

Invisalign:

Straighter teeth can help prevent gum disease, tooth decay, bone loss, and tooth loss.  Furthermore, a well balanced smile can work wonders for someone’s self-confidence and productivity.  Dr.  Bemis has been certified in the world famous Invisalign product since 2006 and has successfully helped over 100 patients to a straighter, healthier, more beautiful smile.  Knowing that the product is not for every patient, Dr. Bemis will happily discuss the possibilities with all those who are interested.  Dr. Bemis can recognize more involved orthodontic cases and will refer the patient to an orthodontist if prudent.  .
